Team Hoyt- My Redeemer Lives

Hi guys, thanks for the very kind replies, much appreciated. i've even got some stuff to add in from my email...

"The steps of a [good] man are directed and established of the Lord, when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step]."

God's will is to lead you on a day-by-day basis. He's given His Spirit to guide you every day. Most believers don't know that. They expect God
to reveal His complete will for their lives in one big revelation. Don't make that mistake. Don't just sit around waiting for God to show you
whether or not He wants you to go to Africa for the rest of your life.

Let Him begin to lead you in little things first, to tell you what you need to do about this situation or that one. He'll show you what you need to
change. And, as He does, you'll change one thing at a time."

I've also got a great video to share...

How do you know?

Hi guys i need some help/advise etc.

With regards to major decisions, how do you know what God's plan for you is? That you're making rational, God-centred decisions?

For the first time that i can remember in my life, i'm asking myself this question. How do i know that i am doing the right thing? I haven't been all that close to God but this time i'm gonna make sure it's different.

I want/need to know what God thinks.

The question is, how do i know? I want to know for sure.

Hope to hear your views on this.

Raja: how do you know that you were called for the mission field?
Matt: how do you know that God wanted you to go to Brown?

Hurry (busyness) is not of the devil...... it is the devil.

Hey there brothers,
more and more I am so thankful for all of you guys and the way that God is working in your lives. This past week I have managed to land myself $148 000 or so in debt. Another way to see it is that I have just begun the process of taking over a 3 room HDB flat at Sin Ming Ave. = ]

Praise God for the smooth way everything went and even for God's providence of the house at a good price. Leli and I were also blown away when we were offered a 2nd hand big Sony TV (along with the wooden "sidetable" it was on) a , a fridge, a washing machine, a queen sized bed, a dining table and 6 chairs... and all for a very affordable sum of $600. Wehave also been offered a near new sofa another bed and cupboards for free.

God provides man..... you better believe it. I am also able to purchase some new furniture and lighting and do some minor repairs.

It was so good to see the posts you have put up. I have been busy and I know that there is where the devil wants me. Seeking relevance at the expense of time listening to God and with His word. Maintaining spiritual disciplines is what will sustain your spiritual journey and ensurethat you are a an outflow of living water... not stale and not dry.... that will be refreshing to the thirsty around you.

Seek His kingdom and His will daily before anything else. Before your own needs and desires, feelings and performance. He deserves it.

Matt... especially good to hear that you've found a good church. I grew up in the church being planted in Woodlands. I owe much to that experience. Remember that God is the Director and not not pressing needs and things that need to get done. Remember you have limited resources of time and energy and you need (guiltless) rest and relaxation. Learn in the hidden valley/wilderness (of preparation) like the shepherds David and Moses, the lessons will be invaluable for kings and deliverers. Same for all of us and I'm still being prepared.

Will be away for most of Dec so you guys need to hold the fort and take new ground in the Fri and NS cells. Please readily take on and wholeheartedly fulfill responsibilities to facilitate and share. Try to offload Steve as we need to have more of you comfortalewith sharing before he leaves in Feb '07.

Please pray for us that we would throw off whatever weights that still hinder God's will in us that He would have greater rule in our lives. That the outflow of our lives would be less tainted.
He will do it. God bless.
