The brotherhood

oi..anyone here?

latest developments.

1. Raja is officially married to Sister Leli. Theirs is a tale of the providence of the Lord, where going against our human logic and waiting on God is the key to being matchmade by the Maker our King and saviour Jesus Christ.

Dear Lord, we pray that you just santicfy that marriage, and use it for your great glory. thank you for already using it to inspire me, and the YA. Thank you lord for Brother Raja, who has been absolutely reliant on you, and thank you for providing such a wonderful spouse for him!

2. Sheng gave a great testimony about the Lord helpin him lose weight and taking care of him in NS.

Dear Lord, thank you my brother sheng, who has been with me through a lot. thank you for the fire you have put in him. please continue to bless him and ordain his steps. you are in charge, and he will have no dear.

3. Winston and Jon wong, and i are meeting up on friday for lunch.
Dear Lord, please pray for us to have good food.

4. Ivan, isaac have girlfriends
Dear lord, please give them the maturity and wisdom to manage the relationships. But most importantly, please be the centre of their relationships, and let their relationships glorify you!. WOOHOO!!

5. Jon Ng, is still in NS.WWAAAA.
Dear Lord, please take care of my brother, for all the tough trials that NS may bring. Use him to be a great light for you in camp!

Dear Lord, please bless NOEL, isaac, and ivan as they go into UNI. give them the boldness to declare your gospel and the strength to make a stand for you. Please give them the intelligence to do well and bring glory to your name.

Updates From Sheng

Hey guys,

Thought I take this opportunity to update on whats going on here, I for one can say have been blessed with a 8-5 vocation in my current unit which doesn't require me to do a single duty, i can definitely say its a Godsend as the amount of insanity i went through the pass 4 months finally paid off for the better, at least now i can look forward to ORD and getting on with what God has planned.

Raja is getting his wedding reception up for August 11th, he is pretty darn loaded with work at the same time so please keep the prayers coming in!

Pray for our new brothers who have joined us for Friday Cell for the past many weeks, Kevin and his 2 brothers, Jervis is headed off for Malaysia again and won't be back til the following week, pray that God keeps him safe up north.

Also pray for Bro Sam & Timo as they start to undergo their service to the nation, keep them safe during the course of their training.

To conclude this dispatch, Salem Chapel is celebrating its 40 years in the Lord's service this coming October, end of the day we have to understand we are part of the bigger picture in spreading the good news, be it to our close friends or even to those who have strayed away, i can testify here that perhaps if i never knew God and had chosen to continue straying away, my National Service would have been a greater challenge and could have gotten me into alot of trouble.

So thus my friends, carry on the good works, support one another and most importantly rely on the Lord during your darkest hour.

Redeemed!

hey guys, have you ever wondered how we all came back into the fold of christ. have you ever wondered how we all strayed far and wide, and left the arms of the Lord who loved us? have you ever wondered how amazing this is, that he called us back even when we left. that he never stopped trying to win our hearts back. that he never gave up on us. you know jesus said something that just shakes my inner soul.. He said, HE WHO IS FORGIVEN MUCH, LOVES MUCH.

and the more i think about this, i feel like this is the Y.A's verse. for a time in our history, we were non existent. we were away from god,we were on the outside looking in. and yet, he forgave us, and everything we did and will do.and because of this, we will love him. Its great to just see that despite our 'exile', we are slowly comin back to the lord. What joy ..what joy. he saved us.

anyway..just wanted to share these verses from John 10.

11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 12The hired hand is not the shepherd who owns the sheep. So when he sees the wolf coming, he abandons the sheep and runs away. Then the wolf attacks the flock and scatters it. 13The man runs away because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. 14"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. 17The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. 18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father."

reading that just gives me so much confidence, to know that Jesus IS, and HE CANT LOSE(as winston says)...HE IS going to redeem all our lost brothers. another verse in the bible talks about JESUS NOT LOSING A SINGLE ONE OF THOSE GOD ENTRUSTED TO HIM.

knowing that god performed such miracles in our own lives, in calling us back. of course some of us never left..i sure did.. If god can do such a thing within us, it is NOT beyond him to call ALL our brethren back. For he laid down his life for his sheep, and doesnt abandon us even when the wolves close in on him.

thank you God.

Greetings from the SAF

Hello Comrades, Fellow citizens, first posting in a very long time. Hope things have been going well in your lives and in your walk with the Lord.

A few updates, I have made all contributors to this blog as administrators, which means you can do changes to the settings or the template whenever you wish to, and add new contributors whenever you want to, as long as we know each other than it shouldn't be much of a risk to the blog.

Steve: I've added the fellow blokes you specified as contributors

As for me, just received my posting to Changi Naval Base as a Sea Soldier, however i'm still pending downgrading so this might not be my final unit or vocation, I had a great BMT, couldn't have asked for better but sure is by the grace of the almighty, at the request of Matthew a.k.a GO 4 IT dood, i've posted some pics of my BMT days, many thanks to my encik for taking the photos and making it available to us.

Well Nuff said here, you guys continue posting and keep this blog alive for our friends overseas and living the lives God has called us to do.
